Integration
Integration
In order to have the technologies involved in the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) to be applied effectively, it’s needed to integrate many components to consider the potential of each element, in a complementary and positive way, providing security and operational simplicity, mandatory to this context.
The main components of TLM’s IoT solution are:
A. Sensing: data capture at measurement points, which involves the treatment of both the legacy components installed, where possible, as well as the different types of current protocols available, operated by the different equipment. This activity also involves the development of electronic devices dedicated to obtaining such collected data, for which special attention is given.
B. Transmission of data: for the treatment of collected data, involving the use of consolidated technologies such as RFID, WiFi, NFC, GPRS, GSM, LTE, or emerging IoT technology such as ZigBee, Z-Wave and mainly LPWA (Low Power Wide Area Network) and LoRaWan protocol (Long Range WAN), which brings great potential of use to the hostile and remote locations.
C. Data Consolidation: The amount of data generated is potentially immense, especially in the applications of frequent data collection, such as sanitation, oil and gas, mining, industrial automation, hospital control, agribusiness, object tracking and many others.
D. Presentation: The presentation layer ensures that all data collected are conveniently presented so that the value generated by the technology can demonstrate its potential, supporting concepts such as analytics, BI, IA, Big Data and insights,
E. Monitoring: It enables the monitoring of all activities, as well as the detection of anomalies, against the specifications and activation of alarms, sending communications (messaging).
